Silents: Accessible Typeface Design
Inspired by the significance of silent film in the deaf community and visually guided by the humanist nuances of 1920s silent film intertitle typography, Silents is a typeface designed for open and closed captioning as well as SDH on new HDTVs.
Silents comes with a 26-character set of dingbats called “Silents Effects,” these icons can be used to conserve space and/or help to illustrate and explain complicated audio content.
